## Upgrade Journey

Chef lets you choose your **upgrade journey** based on your current version of Chef Automate. You can do all the version upgrades manually.

## Bug Fixes

- Chef Automate now properly allows and validates extended validation certificates when Chef Infra Server services connect to external databases.
- We've improved upgrade handling for Habitat in Chef Automate HA clusters with shared backends.
  Automate now performs Habitat upgrades with minimal disruption and reduced impact on cluster health, addressing previous issues during upgrade processes.

## Compliance Profile Updates

- We updated the Chef compliance profiles to version 1.0.0/20250901083043. This includes the new and improved profiles for:

  - CIS Apache Tomcat 10.1 v1.1.0 (Audits)  
  - CIS IBM AIX 7 v1.1.0 (Audits)
